BIOGRAPHY
A Bahraini artist and Director General of the Culture and Arts Directorate at the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Hala Al Khalifa earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the United States (1999) and Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the United Kingdom (2002).
In addition to teaching art in various institutions and the University of Bahrain, over her career, she also held various positions in the arts departments at cultural institutions that carried responsibilities related to the advancement of the artistic landscape, as well as taking part
in local, regional and international art exhibitions as both an organizer and participant. She has implemented the distinctive Artist Residency Project in Doha in 2015.
Her work is acquired by several institutions including MATHAF Museum in Doha, The National Museum in Bahrain, The Saudi Art Council, and the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts.
She has passion for visual art, culture, education and museums.
